| DLP vs. HDTV | | I have heard of this Digital Light Processing telvision from a friend a few days ago. I have tried to look it up on the interent but really havent found anything. I have talked to several people about DLP and HDTV televisions and they both seem good. It is such an overwhelming decision. Could anyone please help me? Thanks,

| | DLP Projection or LCD Projection? | | In todays electronic market there are many options to choose from. In Projection TV's they have made many advancements where the TV's are lighter and have a much clearer and sharper picture. Your two main choices are going to be the LCD projection such as (Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi) in DLP projection you have (Samsung, Mitsubishi, Toshiba) these companies are some your main rated and widely known. The question is which one is better. Some people say LCD some say DLP. LCD's have a clear picture great quality and high def ready. DLP's have a brighter picture in most pictures than the LCD and most have split-screen capabilities. "Millions of Mirrors" that the moto for the DLP. This is a saying that many have heard. The light passing through a DLP projection is magnified off of these mirrors which make the picture brighter and crisper than most of its adversary's. So which one is better for you. Which one do you think is better? | |
| | Does anyone really know the difference between Plasma, LCD, and DLP TV's?? | | I recently purchased a flat panel LCD TV. Whenever I tell someone they automatically say "YOU GOT A PLASMA". I then find myself explaining the difference. It makes me wonder if anyone really knows the difference between Plasma, LCD and DLP televisions. What I am finding is that people assume that a PLASMA is a FLAT PANEL. I think it is because Plasma was the first flat panel Tv on the market. Tell me what your thoughts are. By the way, Plasma, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and DLP (Digital Light Projection) is just how the TV shows the image. Flat Panel are the fancy flat ones that could be either Plasma or LCD. DLP and was just in awww the over picture....for about the
month I had my eye on sharp's 46" D62U series and was about
ready to put my money down on it till i saw his DLP....MAN
what a Picture!!!...besides the obvious points like more screen for the buck and a lil thicker....what do you guys
think on DLP over LCD...my budget is about $2000. | |

| HDTV's Difference between DLP and Plasma? | | Hi guys, as you know HDTV's are now becoming standard and I will be purchasing one in the next few months.I wanted to know what the differences between DLP and Plasma HDTVs are. DLP HDTV's are significantly cheaper and seem to look as good as some plasmas. Why are they cheaper and what might be a wise decision for the future assuming I'm not made of money (budgeting 3k at most for one). I'd like to get a 50", 58" or 61" TV.Please enlighten me and I will bake you a cake | |
