| | | For those of you thinking of doing premium memberships | | Here is a message from a ptc admin on how he does payouts. As you can see, premium memberships does not matter. This is good since its first come first served, that sounds fair. But I ask you, why even pay for premium membership? The only benefit is more ads it seems. -----------------------
I will explain it to you now. Each time, we open our admin panel, there is a list of thousands of requested payments ordered in a completely RANDOM order. It doesnt depend from the time you have submitted your request or if you are a premium member or a not, it is just random.To save as much time as possible, we just take the payments as we see them. Sure that we could order them by date or by premium membership, but after each refresh the list is again ordered randomly, so it would take a lot of our precious time. We just want to make as many payments as possible and we dont care who we pay, we just want to pay you all! | |
| | Zoo Memberships | | We go to the zoo a lot. The reason is my mom buys a Zoo Society membership with the local zoo. It costs her about $60 for a year and we get into the John Ball Park Zoo free and then we get free or reduced rates at over 100 zoos around the United States and Canada. We've only used the pass at zoos in Michigan, but we always consider going to some in nearby states. She also gets a newsletter and we get to visit the zoo for special events. For example, whenever they get a new exhibit at the zoo, we get to go after hours the night before it premiers to the public and see it. Like they now have a thing where you can touch stingrays. We were able to go the night before it opened and see it.

I can't exercise much because of my back and one of my friends here suggested swimming, so I located our local Y and looked at memberships. $436.70 per year!! No way can I afford that! I can't walk more than half a block without my back killing me-I have bad discs, arthritis and scoliosis-and I haven't been able to find a stationary bike that I can haul in by myself.Any suggestions on exercise for someone with a painful, useless back? | |
| | Gym memberships - Do you take advantage or not? | | I keep getting in phases where I want to work out and start turning around my life. A few years ago I bought a gym membership at the Athletic Club for a year and I think I only went twice. About a year ago I got another gym membership at 24 Hour Fitness and went maybe 2 times a month on average ever since. I just switched back to the Athletic Club and I wonder if I'm really gonna get at it this time. My boyfriend got me started on playing racquetball for the first time yesterday and I think this will be my main motivator.What are your motivations to go to the gym and what kind of workouts do you do? Which is the better gym?
