| | Rugs | | Do you have rugs on your floors at home?We have three rugs and they are on our tiled floor, one in the hallway and two in the kitchen, one in front of the sink and one in front of the cooker | |
| | Do you have rugs in your kitchen? | | I like to have a little door mat type rug in front of my stove, sink and garage door. I change them out seasonally like now they are Christmas rugs. I also have one in front of the front door. We have tile floors so this helps to keep the floors cleaner. Do you have small rugs on the floor? | |

| Do rugs on hard floors help keep your home warm? | | I have often noticed that my kitchen stays cooler then the rest of the house, unless I am cooking in there. Does the hard floor create cooler temperatures? Would a rug keep the room warmer or would it just feel warmer? Would it help keep my heat bill down? | |
| | How do you clean olive oil off rugs? | | We had an accident with the olive oil the other day and it spilled on our throw rug in the kitchen. It didn't cover the whole rug, just about a 6 inch spot. But the oil soaked through to the backing which is a soft rubbery backing. I have soaked and washed it a couple of times but the back is still oily. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the oil out besides throwing the rug out.
Thanks! | |
| | My rugs stuck to the floor. | | I just got done mopping my kitchen and bathroom floor. Before I started though I went to pull up my rugs and put them in the washer. One of the rugs was literally stuck to my floor! And half the backing stayed where it had been before I pulled it up! These are not inexpensive rugs....but I bought them at Target. I can't figure out why the backing stuck to the floor! Has this ever happened to you? | |

| Does anyone crochet rag rugs? | | I just started and it's a lot of fun. I would love to see some rugs people have made.I would like to start selling them somewhere, maybe a flea market or online? | |
| | Do You Use Scatter Rugs In Your Home? | | I have quite a few in my house. One at the front door, one in the hallway, one at the kitchen sink, two in the mud room, three in one bathroom and four in the master bathroom. I love having them there to step on for it's much easier on my back than the hard floor. I wash them once every two weeks and hang them up to dry. I don't use the dryer because of the slip resistant backing because the dryer dries it out and it peels off. They last much longer if hung out to dry. I have a wet clothes rack and use that on a rainy day.
So do you have scatter rugs in your home? | |
| | Do you perfer all carpet, bare floors or lay down rugs in your bathroom? | | I perfer to have lay down rugs.I have on in front of my sink in front of the bathtub/shower and one that fits around the toilet.I wouldnt like to have carpet in my bathroom becuase if say the toilet leaked or the sink or shower leaked or something flooded in their than your carpet would be ruined. And I couldnt just have bare floors because it would feel cold on my feet stepping out of the shower. | |

| Green Rugs | | Indian carpet industry - a cottage industry in Uttar Pradesh - has started using synthetic material instead of using natural materials which it used for centuries. I think this a bad trend and the industry as well as the carpet importers must realize this fact and take initiatives that would help a return to naturals. How do you feel about it? | |
